Amp power steps1/11/2024 ![]() ![]() May work for a passenger vehicle but the last thing I want on a adventure van is a full length running board / step. I love this AMP step but they made it WAY more complex than it needs to be and way too long - which is unfortunate. I looked at the prison step - won't work - too much ground clearance loss and a major PITA to install. Has anyone shortened the extrusion and moved the front mounting point back ?ġ> When the board is retracted does it reduce ground clearance / can it be seen from the side ?Ģ> Anyone have a picture of the underside install ?ģ> This is an expensive proposition to hack up / modify - if I break it I toss away $1200 - anyone out there know of anyone else who makes a similar step that is only sliding door width like this that might work ? The step itself is just an extrusion and the motor / hinges slide and lock onto it - so seems to me its do-able. I am a fabricator - this appears like an easy mod but without having the parts in front of me I have no idea if I could adapt the front mount to a moved-back position. rewire it for a manual switch - and 2, I only want the step to be as long as the sliding door opening. I am a keep it simple kind of person - 1, I want it to extend / retract when I want it to - i.e. Looking to install a step for the passenger side sliding door opening only. inseam between 25"-33.2020 Cargo van up fitted as an overland explorer - in other words - less is more. *Measured from bottom of the pedal strokeĥ'2" - 6'2" (Approx. If you have a buddy helping you, get them to measure from the floor to the top of the book spine while you hold the book in place. This may be a bit awkward, but is way more comfortable - and safer! - than trying to ride a bike that is too big. Slide the book upwards towards your groin until it is solidly against your body. Place a hardcover book against the wall with the spine of the book facing upward. Wearing your regular riding shoes and with your back to the wall, stand with your feet spread so there is about 7 inches between them - this is about the distance apart your feet would be when straddling a bike with your feet on You’ll use this number on the chart to get a feel for how the different models will fit you. This will typically be an inch or two longer than the length of your trousers, but you’ll want to measure to be sure. Your “bike inseam” - or inside leg length - is the distance between your body where it sits on your bike saddle and the ground.
